Notes: Pear, cashmere, iso e, guaicwood, brown sugar, white musks Descriptors: Fruit, warm, fuzzy, woody, lactonic About:To me (and likely many others), Portishead was the pinnacle of trip hop, pushing past the tropes of the genre into something bleak, black and utterly magical. I wanted to make something that reflected what I consider the "comforting melancholia" of Portishead. I feel like this was a tight wire - too many heavy notes would bring it into amber and incense territory, while too many light notes would bring it into clean-fruity and lose the heaviness. Hopefully, I've succeeded.
