This fragrance started out as a limited edition Perfume of the Month, but at the urging of my clients, I have added it to the permanent collection! A song about the sea inspires this marine fragrance. In addition to training in perfumery, I also trained as an opera singer. One of my favorite maritime art songs is “Sea Fever” by the English composer John Ireland (lyrics by John Masefield). I won several vocal competitions singing this song, and despite living far from the sea, I always felt like quite a bit of a pirate when singing it. I wanted to capture the feeling I get singing this song in a scent. This is a unisex marine fragrance that is slightly masculine-leaning, but by no means would this smell out of place on a female. It is crisp & ozonic, with hints of salty sea air, coastal bergamot and orange blossom, slightly metallic seaweed, driftwood and ambergris…a mariner’s dream!
