Please, if youve never seen Ganja and Hess you must, it is a singular experience and important on so many levels. It's a hypnotic meditation on addiction, faith, and immortality, using vampirism as a metaphor rather than a spectacle. The film drifts between ritual and reverie, where blood replaces communion and eternal life feels more like a curse than a gift. Its characters are undone not by monsters but by longing—spiritual hunger, erotic desire, and the unbearable weight of consciousness that refuses to end. Beautiful and disorienting, the film treats vampirism as a state of exile: from God, from the body, and from any version of peace. Notes - violet leaf, smoke, patchouli, jasmine, incense and vetiver
