Hocus Pocus

**Note: I will be phasing out the usual individual picture labels on my perfume bottles to a uniform brown handwritten label, so perfume labels may vary from current listing photos** “Aren’t you broads a little old to be trick or treating?” “We’ll be younger in the morning.” — A favorite line with impeccable delivery from none other than the radiant Winifred Sanderson! It also got me to thinking about how I feel in the morning. What do I do to wake up? Scream? Talk about how I wish I was still sleeping? Think about how I am certainly not getting younger and how “sleeping weird” makes my neck hurt for like a week straight? Stuff my face with donuts and coffee? All of the above. While I still drink coffee, I can no longer eat donuts— unless they’re gluten free (dumb allergies). So I mostly fantasize about my favorite donuts, like Winifred fantasizes about sucking the lives out of children. Same thing pretty much. My favorite donut will always be the cruller because it is literal perfection in the form of a flaky delicious pastry, but its close runner up is the always-magical apple cider donut. Oh boy... do I love an apple cider donut, or five. This perfume smells like apple cider donuts, sweet ginger and a perfect autumn latte. Notes of caramel, clove, and cream also swirl in this magical brew fit for an autumn witch!
