ISHTAR GATE Perfume Oil: The Ishtar Gate is one of the original of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World from the very oldest original list. The gate was dedicated to the Babylonian Goddess Ishtar, and was constructed around 575 BCE by order of King Nebuchadnezzar II. The gate depicted warriors, lions, bulls, dragons and more. It was replaced as a wonder by the Lighthouse at Alexandria around 6th cent CE. This perfume is based on ancient texts that detailed the incense used in the temples sacred to Ishtar. Main notes of: Deep rose, oud, myrrh, lotus blossoms, and frankincense combine with other sacred attars and subtle spices. A very rich and regal deep rose blend. All "Seven Wonders" are available in a sample set of 7 vials in the Themed Sampler Section of the shop. Photo: From a public domain photograph of the reconstruction of the Ishtar Gate located in Berlin.
