Lyra

Lyra is a floral fragrance grounded in warm amber. The melding of jasmine and ylang ylang at the heart weave seamlessly with notes of vanilla and resin in the base and a subtle opening of citrus to impart an uplifting, euphoric ambience. In aromatherapy circles these essences are considered relaxing, euphoric and strong aphrodisiacs. The word aphrodisiac comes from the name of the Greek Goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. With the publication of Phillip Pullman's second volume to The Book of Dust, I choose to add a flower featured in the story into the heart of the new edition. Although not obvious to the nose, the intention and affinity to the story adds a nice underpinning as we continue to learn more about the namesake of this fragrance. There is 4 grams by weight of Lyra as an EdP (Eau de Parfum) within the glass, spray bottle which measures approximately 2.25 inches tall x 1.25 wide with the cap on.
