Night is here. It arrived after the blue hour, after the golden hour, after the hot-pink, red wisp, pale purple-cotton candy-hour. The birds became bats as the sun set; their feathers have turned to leather and fuzz. I hear them flit about. Each flap of their tiny wings send shockwaves hitting the trees with bursts of chilled air— telling the leaves it’s almost time to turn. A fire is burning down the street— a backyard smoke signal to the country that lies just beyond the horizon. Soon it will be autumn. Soon it will be October. Soon we’ll be wrapped in warm sweaters as wandering ghosts run their icy fingers through our hair.” -The Billion Ghosts Awandering A scent inspired by my recent book of poems and short stories, The Billion Ghosts Awandering. This scent is reminiscent of an autumn night roasting marshmallows around a campfire, while the chilly breeze caresses your back. Notes of oak moss, black tea, blackest oud, vanilla, marshmallow and smoke in a base of jojoba and grapeseed oil.
