Eram (meaning heaven in Farsi) is named for ancient Persia’s most revered garden: Bagh-E Eram . The perfume opens with the green penetrating odour of wild Iranian galbanum, freshly pressed citrus peels and a whisper of French narcissus. The rich heart of Persian rose and poet’s jasmine is juxtaposed with a thoroughly modern lily-of-the-valley accord with animalic costus root ever lurking beneath the surface. But the soul of Eram is Mousse de Saxe —a long forgotten perfumery base of exquisite East India sandalwood, heady florals, and leathery isobutyl quinoline created in 1912 by Mme Edgard De Laire; Eram returns this long forgotten jewel to the limelight.
