It feels like you're seeing everything for the first time through new eyes, the indifferent static of an ancient television kaleidoscoping into view, a knife stained with sweet herbs pointed at your back, your long-dead pet goldfish from when you were seven. You see too much now that you've changed—oh, you can see yourself sleeping in bed, a bundle of flesh and nerves, sweating out the several joints you smoked before settling in to watch a horror movie.
