**Note: I will be phasing out the usual individual picture labels on my perfume bottles to a uniform brown handwritten label, so perfume labels may vary from current listing photos** Baba Yaga is many things: she is the wicked and evil being with iron teeth who lives deep within the forest, she is the child-eating boogeyman, the taker of skulls, the cold winter wind and storm raiser, the guardian of death and darkness. She is also the wise woman, sometimes kind and nurturing to the pure of heart, sometimes understanding to those who need her most. in other words, she’s basically the coolest :) She is often seen deep in the forest traveling in her mortar and pestle, using a broom of silver birch to sweep the forest floor and cover her tracks. You’ll know she is near when the wind begins to wildly blow, and you can hear the faint screams of the spirits who surround her. She is often accompanied by her white, red, and black horsemen whom she calls “My Bright Dawn, My Red Sun, and My Dark Midnight.” Baba Yaga is said to be the guardian spirit of the fountain of the waters of life and death, and she rules over the elements of earth, air, fire, and water. She is a symbol of rebirth, wisdom, and is the Primal mother who rescues, nurtures, and destroys. The perfume oil can be worn anytime and can also be used as an anointing oil while working with her in ritual. The scent is woody, resinous, sweet, and earthy, like the ancient forest she resides in. The scents and herbs correspond with Baba Yaga herself: birch, vetiver, blue spruce, sandalwood, patchouli, frankincense, vanilla, and bergamot.
