There is something strange about doomscrolling in bed. People call it an addiction. Maybe it is. But sometimes I think it is also a kind of comfort, a soft little escape from reality, wrapped in blankets, warm skin, and the glow of a screen at midnight. There is comfort in not having to deal with everything yet. Comfort in letting the world move past you while you stay still. Comfort in forgetting every sad thing for a few more minutes. Always Online is about that strange bridge between comfort and addiction. Sweet warmth, soft powder, tired eyes, and the familiar shame of still scrolling after saying, “one more video.” It is not exactly peace.
